Now when you know how to decorate your home wisely, let's see how math is related to music.

At first, it may seem that there are no connections between math and music. It’s hard to imagine that exact science and art could have anything in common.

Music notes
First of all, musical pieces are presented by symbols in writing, much like math symbols. These pieces consist of measures or bars representing amounts of time. The lengths of notes are conveyed by fractions. What are these if not mathematical divisions of time?


One of the most well-known formulas in math, the Fibonacci sequence can be found in music as well. This sequence goes: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so on. If you look closely at piano scales, you can see that there are 13 keys in the С scale, eight white keys and five black keys.  


Furthermore, research shows that learning music improves math performance.
